Root Chakra or Muladhar Chakra is the first of the seven primary chakras in our body and it is considered to be the most important chakra for one’s overall well-being. It differentiates between human and animal consciousness and thus is responsible for personality development. Located at the base end of our spinal cord it controls the reproductive organs, immune system and the large intestine.
An imbalance in the Muladhar Chakra causes prostate problems, arthritis, obesity, weak bones and physical structure leading to an inactive lifestyle.
Following remedies can be followed to awaken the Muladhar Chakra for a better lifestyle and overall well-being :
Meditating while visualizing lotus symbol at the location of the Chakra (i.e. base of spinal cord)
Walking barefoot on the grass to connect with the Earth as the root element
Facing your favorable direction (according to Vaastu)
Applying essential oils at your pulse point while meditating
Eating red fruits such as apples, beetroots, strawberries pomegranates etc.
